- China has set up the world's largest Mosquito factory in northwestern Guangzhou
- ISRO to put US satellite in space for the first time. ISRO, at present, is gearing up for the launch of GSLV-Mark-II, probably around August 27. “The 2.1tonne capacity GSLV-MarkII will be carrying a commu nication satellite,“ he said.“By March 2016, we will launch seven satellites.“India has launched 45 satellites for 19 nations. A.S.Kiran Kumar said Isro will launch 28 other foreign satellites in two years.
- Second largest maze of ancient stones found. A 2,000-year-old square labyrinth has been discovered in Gedimedu, a Village 16 km from Pollachi, by a team of researchers from the Veerarajendran Archaeological and Historical Research Centre, Tirupur.
