Vacancy Details

1. Librarian - 01 Post, (UR), Scale of Pay: Rs.37400-67000 + Grade Pay Rs.10000/-, Mode of Posting: On Contract / Regular Basis
2. Assistant Librarian - 01 Post,(UR),  Scale of Pay: Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.6000/-,Mode of Posting: On Regular Basis
3. Deputy Registrar - 01 Post, (UR), Scale of Pay: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800/-

Educational Qualification

1. Librarian:- 

a). Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale, and a consistently good academic record.

Experience: Minimum of 18 years post-qualification experience in reputed libraries as College Librarian/ Assistant Librarian or equivalent OR 13 years as a Deputy Librarian or equivalent in a reputed institution or University.

2. Assistant Libarian:- 

a) Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with 55% marks or  its equivalent grade in the point scale wherever grading system is followed plus a consistently  good academic record.

b) Qualifying in National Eligibility Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other  agency approved by the UGC. However, this may be relaxed for the candidates with M. Phil/  Ph. D in Library Science / Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives/ Manuscript-  keeping/ computerization of library.

3. Deputy Registrar:-  A postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale; along with:

(i) 9 years’ of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6,000/- and above with experience in educational administration, or

(ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, or

(iii) 5 years’ of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post in IITs/University System/Research Institute/Central Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous

Bodies.
