1. Trips to Vandalur Zoo will get more colourful for nature lovers as a butterfly park, spread over 2.5 hectares, is now officially open. The exclusive enclosure, which was awaiting inauguration for the past few months, was declared open by chief minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday

2. To create awareness about information security risks across public interfaces (for instance online transactions), IIT Madras along with other institutes will soon be carrying out an awareness programme in the city in a months' time.The campaign name is 'Information Security Education Awareness Programme'. 

3. ISRO's next big mission is destination space governance which may require it to launch one satellite each month, said director of ISRO Satellite Centre, Bengaluru, Dr Annadurai.
